About Us
We’re a husband-and-wife team based in the quiet countryside of Dawsonville, Georgia, where our love for Cane Corsos began with our first male, Kaine, in 2020. His protective yet deeply loving nature showed us just how special this breed truly is and inspired us to share that same loyalty, strength, and companionship with other families.
Our dogs aren’t just part of our breeding program, they’re part of our family. Living on several acres gives our Corsos plenty of space to run, play, and train alongside us. We spend time outdoors together, welcome friends and fellow breeders to socialize their dogs, and raise our puppies in a home filled with care, laughter, and family interaction.
Our young son plays a big role in their daily lives, helping our puppies grow comfortable and confident around children from the very beginning. We also dedicate time to training, including bite sleeve and on-command protection work, to nurture their natural intelligence, focus, and drive.
What started with one incredible Corso has grown into a family passion built on love, respect, and a shared commitment to the betterment of the breed.
Our Passion for Breeding
At Gilbert Cane Corso, we are dedicated to raising exceptional Cane Corsos with sound temperament, solid structure, and loving companionship in mind. With over five years of experience working with the breed and two years actively breeding, our passion lies in producing dogs that embody the true spirit of the Cane Corso - loyal, confident, and devoted family members.
In breeding, health and temperament are our top priorities. Each litter is carefully planned with the goal of improving the breed’s overall well-being and maintaining their devoted temperament. We emphasize socialization, family interaction, and responsible breeding practices to ensure each puppy is well-prepared for life in a loving home.
We proudly work within the ICCF community and as well as AKC certifications, upholding high standards of excellence and integrity in all that we do. At the heart of our program is a simple mission: to produce Cane Corsos that are as healthy and beautiful as they are loyal and loving.
finding the right fit
While we believe the Cane Corso is one of the most loyal and loving breeds, we also know they are not the right fit for every home. The Cane Corso is intelligent, protective, and strong-willed. These traits require confident, consistent leadership and a structured environment. Without proper guidance and respect, these same qualities can become challenging for inexperienced owners.
We take our responsibility as a breeder seriously. We carefully screen potential families to ensure each puppy is placed in a home that understands and appreciates the breed’s unique nature. We encourage everyone interested in a Cane Corso to do thorough research and truly consider their lifestyle, experience, and long-term commitment before bringing one home.
Our goal is for every puppy we produce to find a forever home; one where they’ll thrive as both loyal protectors and cherished family companions. By taking this care from the very beginning, we help ensure that no Gilbert Cane Corso ever faces the uncertainty of ending up in a shelter or unsuitable environment. To honor that commitment, we include in our contract that any dog from our program must be returned to us if rehoming ever becomes necessary. We stand by every dog we produce by ensuring they always have a safe, loving place to return to and are never surrendered to a shelter.
